I am a senior finance major at the University of Florida, and I will be graduating in the early summer 09. I have a 3.966 gpa but no work experience. I am taking the GMAT in December and it looks like I will be getting something in the 500's. I am very interested in finance and am looking at either an MSF or an MBA. I am aiming more towards an MSF because of my lack of work experience. I am looking to stay in Florida or to go back to California, but I am open to moving anywhere. I am just looking for some opinions from you guys about what schools would be a good fit for someone like me. The schools in Florida I am looking at are UF, Florida International University and the University of South Florida, but like I said I am open to going just about anywhere. Also, is there any MBA programs you guys know of that do not require work experience, that my gpa/gmat would fit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Devin

You have close to a 4.0 at UF and are scoring in the 500s on the GMAT? Study for the test, do well, and go to a good school. Brand name and networks is all these degrees get you. The GMAT is a learnable test. Score 700+ and you could get into a top 15 MBA or top MFin.

Gator, haven't you looked in your own backyard at the UFL MSF program? It seems pretty solid from the placement history on their website. I'm considering applying for entry in Fall '09... just need to get the GMAT out of the way.
