hey!
i just received an admit to HEC's grande ecole programme MSc in Management for Sept 2010, and am very much looking forward to joining the school. as the round 2 results are just out, just wanted to get acquainted with fellow future-students..
also, what are the job prospects after graduation like.. i've gone through the literature on HEC's website, but a more hands on knowledge would be great..

Hey. Congratulations on getting through. I've been accepted on this program as well. Could you share your background ?

I'm 23, Male from Nepal. Undergrad in Electrical Engineering from Cardiff University, UK and a couple of years of work ex after that. Really looking forward to attending HEC this fall.

Hi,
I am from India, currently in 2nd year of BSc, (3 years program) and although I have never given GMAT as such yet, I am keen on getting to Grande Ecole program of HEC Paris.
I have good academic record, the only grey spot being my somewhat lesser marks in High School leaving exam.
I have very good ECs, done few internships, represented India in an international competition and can speak Hindi, English, Urdu and have intermediate proficiency in French, Russian and German.
Can you suggest me some good ways to increase my profile, as I am very keen on HEC Paris Grande Ecole program.

I think you already have a decent profile. Try to get a good GMAT score, prepare your application well and you should be well on your way to HEC!

wow! well, that was nice.
But I have come to know that Grande Ecole program of HEC is VERY competitive... even much more than its MBA because actually, Grande Ecole is the real usp of HEC.
I am simply from University of Lucknow- thus a little bit less thing for the 'profile of the institute'. Plus I never had a work experience, although the Grande Ecole doesnt requires much work experience like its MBA counterparts-I have had few online internships and am willing to go for a managerial internship abroad this year if all gets well.

@21stking: Are you already into Grande Ecole? And can people be very critical of me as I simply wish to almost 'secure' my place there!

Hi,
I am keen on applying for the Msc in Management-Grande Ecole program at HEC Paris.
Other option being Msc-International Business.
A little about myself:
I never gave GMAT or TOEFL. Although my English is pretty good.
Class 10th: 85%
Class 12th: 62.25% (yes, grey shade...here)
1st year university result is not still out, but I hope it will be fine. I am in 2nd year BSc now.
ECs:
-Being Team Leader to school in numerous competitions.
-Winner of Inter-School General Knowledge Competition among more than 14 schools for consecutive 7 years.
-Winner of more than 21 academic awards at school & undergraduate level.
-Debates, Speeches, Editorial Borad of College Magazine etc.
-Represented India in International Astronautical Congress
-Internship of 6 months for 2 organizations.
-Mozilla Campus Rep, Microsoft Student Partner.
-Languages: Hindi (native), English, Urdu, French, German, Russian.
I dont have official proficiency test (like TCF for French), just don't have time for now, shall give during summers, but at least i know the languages.

Thats it.
I request you to kindly be critical of me, and suggest me of some ways to increase my profile even more.
For example I heard of 'CFA' exams, (they're way too costly for now) but I would want to do something like that.
And any other suggestions from your experiences....
