Took the GMAT today and got a disappointing 610 (43q,31v). The magical 700 is the goal and after roughly 2 months of sketchy self-instruction, I'm thinking a well-structured prep course is needed. The Kaplan Advanced course seems like a potential fit, so I ask, is a 90+ bump in GMAT score practical/highly possible following a successful completion of the Kaplan Advanced course? Thanks!

I think it is. The course is specifically designed for those who have at least 600 on the GMAT. However, there is a catch - it covers the most advanced topics and does not focus as much on easier elements. At the same time, if you are lacking basics, you may/will need to do a bit extra ( you have to judge for yourself if it is too hard and if you may need to do some catching up with the Kaplan Math Foundations or MGMAT Math Foundations or possibly with the MGMAT Verbal Foundations). Probably a more so right class for you than the non-advanced.
The answer is, it is possible as long as you are able to put the time in and not skip classes.

Hi Kevin,
Two students of mine opted in to the Advanced class, both with scores of 580. They both took the test yesterday at noon. One got a 680, the other 690.
