hey i just ended up giving my GMAT and scored very low in verbal section.
Score-600(Q49,V23)
My list of colleges that i applied to are as :
1)ISB, HYDERABAD,INDIA
2)AGSM,SYDNEY,AUSTRALIA
3)MELBOURNE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, VIC,AUSTRALIA
4)SCHULICH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, CANADA
5)NATIONAL UNIVERSITY,SINGAPORE

With this low score would i be able to get admission into any of the colleges i mentioned above?
My work experience right now is 19 months.
Other than mba can i get admission into MS in finance course of any top rated university across the globe.
Please experts suggest me.

Hai

Can you tell me by how many points your verbal score is decreased in real Gmat as compared to mock tests, The reason why i am asking is my gmat exam is on may 29.

I would suggest two things before you apply to your target schools .First, retake GMAT aiming for at least 650+ . Second, work for another year or so to improve your profile.

Masters of Finance programs will be within your reach. They generally care more about a high quant score - which you have.

For the MBA, I'd have to agree with Poonam. With 19 month of work experience, you can give it some more time--get some more real world experience. Retaking the test may also be a good way to boost your candidacy.

For the MBA, I'd have to agree with Poonam. With 19 month of work experience, you can give it some more time--get some more real world experience. Retaking the test may also be a good way to boost your candidacy.

Hi,
I want to pursue MS in finance and then would most probably go for a phd in that.But my UG is in B-Tech (in Electronics and Communication Engineering).I have a keen interest in finance.The project in which i have been working since 20 months is in financial domain(capital markets in NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE OF INDIA). Can you please tell me the name/list of some good universities from which i can pursue MS & then phd.

The scores in the real GMAT actually vary in the range +/- 50 from the practice tests.
