Hi,
I have a doubt and I need your help in getting it rectified.
My doubt is -> If one gives GMAT two times and his AWA /IR score in the first attempt is better than the AWA/IR score in the second attempt whereas total score in the second attempt is better than the first one then while applying to college, which AWA/IR score should one put - the better one or the latest one ?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Vinay
When you self-report your scores, you must report all section scores from a single GMAT. That is what makes the GMAT so hard - you have to perform at your best throughout the entire exam. If you were allowed to report section scores separately, people would easily game the system by taking the exam multiple times and focusing all their energy on just on section at a time (i.e. skipping through the early sections to focus on the Verbal section).
Since you self report your scores, you have to be very careful to report your scores accurately. Many admissions offices make entrance decisions based on your self-reported scores, then validate your scores with official reports. If discrepancies are found between self-reported and official scores, the offer of admission can (in most cases will) be withdrawn.
