Hi.
I'm not new to the GMAT. I took this test in September 2012 and scored 680, but primarily thanks to the Quant section (Q49, V34).
Now I'm working on my verbal and planning to retake the test in early September this year.
I've got a Sentence Correction issue which has been bothering me for a long time.
Sometimes, some of the answer choices change the meaning of the original sentence. In some practice tests an answer choice seems correct grammatically but changes the meaning of the original sentence, though conveys that meaning effectively.
If I can't eliminate all the incorrect answer choices based on the grammar alone, should I eliminate the one that changes the meaning of the original sentence, but does so in an effective way (i.e. if the new meaning does make sense)?
I'd be very glad to see replies only from those who are 100% sure about the topic. Thanks.
