Hi I'm an Indian,male and in the IT sector ( Yeah the same old average "Indian" joe )but with a slight difference.I have working in a small IT company for 1.5 years now.I'm also a shareholder in this company managing 3 people.I'm planning to apply for mba shortly.Just wanted to know what matters the most?The number of years or the quality?Typically an Indian engineer needs around 4-5 years to get into any managerial position.But I can confidently say after several discussions with people in different companies that my experience of 1.5 years equals that.It would be really helpful if anyone can suggest me whether it is the right time to do MBA.My long term goal is to come back to the company I'm working in but I intend to work in the US for a couple of years after my MBA,for international exposure.Will I face difficulty finding work after MBA because of my "less" work ex prior to MBA when compared to my classmates?And I'm not thinking of applying to the top 20 programs.20-50 colleges is what I'm looking at.Any advice is most welcome
