Hi,
I gave GMAT in 2012 Jun and could score only 610 (Q=45, V=29). I prepared for almost 4+ months then. My Profile : IT Indian Male
Now I am planning to retake GMAT exam. I need to work more on verbal part.
I scored good in
MGMAT mock tests but on test day I got screwed in verbal.
In
MGMAT Mock Test-1 : 650 (Q45,V34)
MGMAT Mock Test-2 : 670 (Q47,V34) (accuracy 67% in SC,50% in CR)( No Essays)
MGMAT Mock Test-3 : 740 (Q47,V44) (SC-only 2 ques wrong, improvement in CR)(Wrote Essays also)
Though most of the ques in quant were from 700-800 difficulty, i still received the 47 in quant)
GMAT Software-1 Test : 620 (Q47,V27) - Taken just before exam
it is worst score i ever get in verbal, i got the same on my 1st diagnostic)
What i analysed :
1. I don't had any strategy for RC questions (In RC my accuracy was approx 50-60%)
2. FOR SC, i selected wrong out of 2 best. most of the questions tested 2-3 concepts and used confusing language..
Resources Used:
1.
MGMAT SC Guide for SC
2.
MGMAT Advanced Guide for quant
3. Power score CR Bible for CR
4. I did approx each ques in OG twice
Now I want to restart my preparation. Should I join any course directly or should I go through old study material once ?
I prepared my best but could not perform well on test day...
