Hi GMAT experts..
I appeared for my GMAT second time on 27th Jan 2014. Got a score of 630 Q42 V34. I scored between 690-710 in all my practice tests. All the practice tests were taken in perfectly timed environment as I was adviced by the experts after my first disastorous attempt at the gmat. In my first attempt I got a 610 Q44 V30. For my second attempt I completed the official guides again. Completed the jeff sackmann challenge sets and and a few gmatclub tests (in which my scores were depressingly low, so decided not to attempt those tests any further). Did a lot of questions from gmat prep question pack.For verbal I solved official guide, RC99, 1000SC and additional CR from various resources. I dont think I have left anything that is to be done to get a score above 730. I dont understand what more do I need to do. I am depressed and now started to beleive that may be I am just average and dont have it in methat is required to crack the GMAT. I am an engineer and I have always been a above average student. If anyone could tell me what more do I need to do to get that magical score I would be indebted. My practice test scores are written below.

GMAT prep 2- 700 Q-47 V-36
MGMAT1- 690 Q-46 V-40
Veritas prep 1- 710 Q-48 V-41
MGMAT2- 620 Q-41 V-40
MGMAT3- 670 Q-44 V-40
Veritas prep 2- 720 Q-48 V-42
MGMAT4- 690 Q-47 V-39
GMAT prep exam pack 1- 690 Q-47 V-37
GMAT prep exam pack 2- 680 Q-47 V-36

Hi,
It is not a very hard task to get a 730+ score in GMAT. The mock tests and real GMAT always differs. Even though the questions are similar, the mental pressure differs.
I believe if you can put in a little more effort and dedication and even a one to one mentoring will also help.

Don't forget the GMAT Pill mock test in your selection.

It appears your real GMAT was lower than most of your mock tests, unfortunately. At GMAT Pill, we recommend simulating the real exam as much as possible -- do practice sprints. That is, pick questions at random, and hold yourself to a high speed and accuracy standard.
