As I do research how to manage the GMAT I found a lot of strategies and guides to hit a good score but to be honest is "everyman" able to score above 700 if only the preparation is properly done?
Posted from my mobile device A score of 700 is an 89%ile. This means that if you get 700, you are in the top 11% of the people who took GMAT. Obviously, only 11% test takers are in the top 11%! The reason 700 is a coveted score is that not everyone gets it.
But the point is this - Everyone has the ability to do very well on the test. The time, effort and patience required varies. Preparation is not a checklist - do this this and this and you will get 700 - no. You have to seriously put in effort, more so if you are starting from a low score. Also, even after you develop the capability to score a 700, how you perform on exam day is all that matters. Hence, know that all of us have it in us to score 700, but only 11% of us keep the patience and determination to work hard toward it.
