I took the GMAT cold about 4 years ago to get into a (free) master's program at a top 20 private school. I didnt want to pass up the opportunity but I had to take the test cold to get a score in time to get accepted into the program. Anyway, I scored a 530 (35V & 27Q) and I imagine I would have scored about the same before I started studying this time. I just started studying about 2 weeks ago for the GMAT with a plan to take the test at in early August. I know my Q score is my trouble area so I wanted to start on this area first.
5/1/14: I started with the official Q review guide and realized that I needed to take a step back after about 3 days of studying. I immediately ordered the
MGMAT Math Foundations book.
5/17/14: I am about 2/3 of the way through the
MGMAT Math Foundations Book and I intend to finish the book this weekend and immediately start on the OG Guide.
I just want to know if I'm falling behind or if I'm on track to be ready in three months. I initially wanted to spend 5 weeks on Q, 3 weeks on V, and then 4 weeks on practice tests. Will I have given myself enough time to score to get a 40+ Q score? Just trying to figure if I need to speed up my studying or if I'm on a good pace. I currently study about 11 hours on weekends and 1-2 hours a night during the week. My goal is to score a 700.
Thanks in advance for your help/advice/thoughts.
