I gave the GMAT yesterday and scored a 500 (Q 39, V20). I need serious help on the Verbal & IR section . I gave my GMAT preps & scored a 490(Q 40, V 18) didn't complete & was penalized , in the 1st one 530( Q 44, V 20) in the second in a gap of 10 days . I have used the Manhatten , OG 10 & 12 , Power score for critical reasoning & been studying for the past 2 months. Also scored just a 10 percentile in IR which is a worry ,used the official GMAT IR section but screwed up cause of time pressure on the test . Need your help as am planning for a retake in mid September & my target score is 700. I have the following questions.
1.Is it possible for a 200 points jump in 60 days ? . I am off work currently so can give full focus.
2.Verbal is my biggest problem & I am pathetic with RC & CR & that screws up my pacing
3. Quant my avg scores are around 40+ , but how should I take it to a 47-48. Ended getting less in the test as I paced too much.
4.What practice material should I use to improve my verbal scores?
5.How to increase my pacing & accuracy with time pressure?
And yes I don't quit , I don't give up till I get that 700!! , so kindly advice me.
Garry!!!
