Dear All,
Hello. I am writing from Hyderabad, India.
My GMAT exam date is: 10th Oct'14.
Today, I gave my third mock test and got a very less score of 620 (earlier two tests were at: 510 and 560 respectively). I got 68 percentile in Quant(*45) and 56 percentile in Verbal(ie: 30). Overall was 620 (69 percentile). Specically, my verbal has been bad. (* I am weak in Quant from my school days....)
The biggest problem is with my timings. I was left with more than 15 questions in the end - so marked them randomly.Can you all pl. give me few tips for improving my verbal score?
The problem was with CR & RC.

Honestly, there is not a great deal you can do in 12 days. However, the #1 thing you must do is improve your timing, and you don't necessarily need to get better or faster at the material to do that. It's a matter of checking in on time often and making sure that you're not running over. Roughly, you're aiming to do 8-9 problems every 15 minutes in verbal, or 3 problems every 5 minutes. However, this varies a bit by problem type. CR problems should take about 2 minutes and RC should take an average of 2 minutes per problem (including the time to read the passage), but SC should take more like 1:15. Prevent yourself from timing out by holding yourself strictly to these limits. If you do fall behind, drop a question to catch back up! Simply not timing out will make a big difference in your score.
