Instead of writing a long story about my "journey", here are some bullet points outlining the last three months of studying for me (goal - 550):
* Used OG and the foundations of GMAT Math (Manhattan).
* I spent the first 1.5 months going through the foundations book, embarrassing considering my career.
* I never had time to practice a CAT (huge mistake).
* I only spent 8 hours (day prior to exam) studying verbal. (because my math was so horrible).
* I never practiced any quant problems from the OG, just problems on here (because I couldn't answer any - my lack of quant skills is depressing).
* Conceptually, I can understand a lot of the quant problems, but I fail in applying the algebra to solve them.
Here is my question. Like a lot of us on here, I work 10-12 hour days and want to minimize my time studying. What is the best book to brush up on algebra and basic quant skills to boost my score? What should I study - concentrate on verbal and forget about quant? I have to have my application in by Dec. 1st, 2014 so I don't have a lot of time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
