Hi,
I have my GMAT exam in 2 weeks time and I gave my first GMATprep exam today. However I am very confused about the scoring.
- I got 760 score BUT
- My quant had 50 points but only 90 percentile
- My verbal had 42 points but 96 percentile
- Is there not a discrepancy - I got only 4 questions wrong but got only 90 percentile in quant. Conversely I got 9 wrong in Verbal.
Also I feel that there was a guesswork in a lot of questions in Verbal, especially between couple of choices not eliminated. Is it common and does everyone guess quite often in verbal? And if so, then the GMATprep is not much of an indicator to final score - isn't it?
Thanks in advance
P.S.: I am applying for research so I want a really good Quant score. Any idea what I could have done wrong to get only 90 percentile. I thought only 4 wrong was a good score.
