Hi All,
Yesterday I took the real test: 650 (Q49, V30, IR7). I was devastated with this result. Maybe I overestimated my verbal skills.
During the last moth I took many practice tests, actually all the free practice tests.
GMAT Platinum: 650
MGMAT: 690
Veritas: 730
PowerPrep 1: 690
PowerPrep 2: 650
GMATPrep 1: 700
GMATPrep 2: 690
GMatPrep 1 (reset): 750
GMatPrep 2 (reset): 740
Economist: 710
Princeton: 660
GmatPill: 660
Kaplan: 720
In all off these test my quant score was 49 on average. The only difference was in the verbal score. I was expecting 700 based on these test results. I don't understand what happened, but apparently the problem was verbal.
I'm going for a retake in a month, but don't know how should I plan my study strategy for verbal, especially for RC and SC. Can you please advise how I can improve my verbal score in a month? English is my 3rd language. Please help!

RC is always tough. The best practice is reading--read good, high-quality materials on a variety of topics. I've always recommended the Economist as a good source of GMAT level and style writing (one you pick out the Britishisms).
SC is a little simpler, and if you're looking for quick wins in the next month it's a good place to focus. The key is pattern recognition. There are a variety of commonly used sentence structures and trigger words that will instantly raise a red flag to an experienced test taker. Don't focus on mastering all of English grammar; focus on recognizing the warning signs that a sentence is oddly constructed.
Our mobile app is a good place to start. Run through flashcards on GMAT error patterns, then practice several problems testing that problem until the patten is ingrained. When test day comes around, even though every problem will be "new," you can guarantee there will be almost nothing you haven't already seen and practiced.

First, since you already signed up on the Economist GMAT Tutor, I would highly recommend that you take advantage of the free online tutor session. You may be able to find great tips and strategies to improve your verbal skills.
As for SC, remember that the problems with SC questions rarely are only grammatical (though, be sure your grammatical skills are sound). You should always be sure you understand what meaning the original sentence is trying to convey. This will allow you to rule out answer choices that don’t make sense or violate the intended logic and meaning of the sentence.
For RC, I agree that you should continue reading publications. Also, if you don't already do so, take notes They will come in handy, especially for those long passages. Look out for these items while reading the passage: 1. the main idea of this passage 2. the author's position and tone (neutral? critical? etc.) and 3. structure of the argument (e.g. two opposing sides vs. one sided, informational vs. author's opinion).
Doing this will allow you to understand the passage and quickly identify what the specific arguments may be.
