hello
i gave my gmat yesterday and got 550(this was my third attempt, first was in jan 2014-500 and second was oct 2014-550) really disappointed with my score and want to give it one last shot.
i have been getting mixed reviews as to retaking the gmat. some say it shows badly on the application while some say it shows perseverance and never say die attitude.
please suggest.
If your score is way below the average score of your target school, you should take GMAT again. But work hard, ensure that you have made some solid progress and then take it again. You need to do things differently this time to ensure you see good improvement. If you score a 650+ next time, your previous 3 attempts will be ignored, but another 500-550 will look just bad!
Depending on how you have prepared in the previous three attempts and your weaknesses, make a plan and stick to it. Join a course/hire a tutor/seek help from experts if required. Ensure that you know where you go wrong and exactly how to set it straight. Leave no stone unturned this time before taking the test.
