This post is for all the peeps who have applied or wish to apply for Business Studies in Germany.
(I have been looking for colleges in Germany to do MS/ MIS.)
Here is a little background:
24 F/Indian
Bachelors in Computer Science from India.
Work Ex: 3 years ( I see that almost all B schools in Germany require that all applicants have atleast 3 years of work experience)
GMAT: 660
TOEFL: 100
Specific Questions that i am looking answers for:
1. I understand from my research that business colleges in germany require that candidates have taken a business related subject in their undergrad studies. example: Frankfurt. Which public colleges do not have such prerequisites?
2. Semester for many German colleges start somewhere in jan , december. I am looking to apply for fall 2015 i.e. semesters which start in sept or august this year. I
3. Some colleges require a GRE for MS in management. I have only taken the GMAT and wish to apply with my GMAT score.
Do you know of a good college that accepts GMAT, is a public University, and does not require a Business Undergrad?? Please share the details.
I am writing this post after performing a lot of research on my own. I have checked shiksha, daad.de and any other blog post that would provide me more detail on this matter. If anyone is doing their own research, please share your insights.

Hi Shreya,
Unfortunately almost all German schools for Masters in Management require business component in undergrad studies. I believe you already have 3 years of work experience and instead of a Masters i suggest you should look at an MBA which is more accepting in terms of diversity of undergrad as well as work background. ESMT is one school which takes students from all backgrounds for their Masters.
Masters in Management start in September in many schools.
Most Management schools take both the scores with more schools taking GMAT. GMAT is accepted everywhere.

Thank you. I did my own research on the subject and yes you are right, almost all MBA courses require a Business related Subject in Undergrad but then there are exceptions to this rule. MBA and Engineering in HWT Berlin, Masters in Management in Frankfurt School of Finance, INternation Business Management in FurtWangen University. I have the list down to about 20 colleges ( straight from daad.de)
Is there a forum/ website where I can compare these colleges in ranks and other aspects? I didnt find many forums here related to German Universities. Thanks.
