1) What were your scores
Quant: 34
Verbal Scaled Scores: 23 (....though im not sure what scaled scores means? I just remember seeing the word "verbal")
Total: 490
IR: 6
AWA: N/A
" then you were likely in trouble BEFORE you started to run out of time." - I know I was making a number of mistakes, but it had a lot to do with not sleeping the night before. So its kind of hard to judge, I'll probably take a practice test or something in the next week to better gauge where I am at. The main problem is that I am in the running for having worst ADD on the planet and this test will literally be impossible finish EVERY question for someone with my condition, but I now know it is possible to make a good score.
"your ability to learn and adapt how you deal with the GMAT" - above average. But on the other hand, if I could design and tailor make a test that plays into what I would call as the only type of intellect that I have, it would be word for word the gmat, well besides the whole knowing proper english thing, but the logical behind selecting the right answers on the verbal is all me. Just have to get past the grammar 101 part and then it will be fairly easy.
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School? hah, i dont know anymore. Its the first time that I might actually the comparative advantage when it comes to something related to school.
So I started thinking I might want to take it seriously.
I guess you could say my original intention at 9:59 PM last night was to take whatever mediocre score I got and continue going to my current school. I am currently taking masters classes on an undergrad program that allows me to take up to 12 hours. I was supposed to graduate in dec, but somehow I missed the memo that you have to 'apply' to graduate. So instead of explaining to every potential employer how I am too stupid to figure out how to graduate, I decided to do this masters program while I waited.
3) "Do you have a specific score goal?" - 9:59 PM yesterday it was like 450+ hah. That's probably all I need to make this MS official. Since I am now taking it again, minimum will be 530 to guarantee that I get in!
But now that I believe I can do very well on this thing without having to put in 1000x more work than everyone else to get the same score, i am not too sure what to do.
A few obvious options are:
-A score of 650 in 31 days.
-a score of 650 within 3 months. (But I am not sure if it is better than just staying where I am at)
-700+ by October.
Not sure what the feasibility on any of things are.
-And lastly, if I get a freakishly amazing score is it even possible to get into one of those 'elite' schools? well considering my history:
-GPA at this graduating school 3.1.
-cumulative GPA in the about 80 credit hours before this school: .17
-I did the whole victory lap in high school (the 5 year plan)
-got arrested over a dozen times (all for drinking)
-Skipped town and moved to vegas to avoid a number of outstanding warrants I had. Played poker there for a living for a couple years until I went broke.
-Went to jail to remove my warrants
-Joined the Marine Corps
-and now finishing school.
