I was informed today by the test center that they wont conduct the exam on May 1st due to labour day.
It is less than 48 hours before the exam and I am freaking out.
I have been trying to get in touch with the mba helpline number but it is an absolutely pathetic system and I have not been able to make a successful call since last 6 hours.
I have dropped them multiple emails and there is no response.
What can do now ? I DO NOT wish to pay the rescheduling fee for no fault of mine.

I would suggest that you continue trying to reach the main MBA line now that it is normal business hours US. What did the test center say about rescheduling? You should not have to pay a fee to reschedule your exam for fault of the testing center.

From your post, I assume that you have scheduled your Official GMAT for May 1st.
How did the Testing Center inform you about all of this? If it was an email, can you post the email here?
