I have 3 weeks until test day. I started from a Diagnostic of 480 in January with a test date of March 19th. I was typically scoring between 620-640 (Full CATs) before my test day. Test day got to me and I scored a 580. Since then, I spent 3 weeks attempting to strengthen my weaknesses (word problems, algebra, SC), which I was able to do. Now, I am stuck at the same scoring range, but instead of getting these subjects wrong, I am getting RC and # properties wrong.
I have 21 days to test day, can spend 5 hrs/day for the majority of those days just on GMAT (I am in the final semester of college and have an easy course load). My question is from here on out, how should I study?
I have completed all OG questions and have an Excel spreadsheet of times, correct/unsure/wrong, etc. I have access to all of Veritas material, etc. I just want to figure out how to allocate my time in the next 3 weeks if I spend 5 hours per day.
Thanks.
You have 3 weeks remaining so you should be able to take 3 practice tests - the last test should be a week before the actual GMAT. It is quite normal to find that in different tests, you are making mistakes in different sections. Don't fret. In the latest test, you made mistakes in number properties. Find out which concepts of number properties you were not comfortable with. Work on those. In RC, figure out the question types in which you faced most problems. Review those question types from your book and go through some examples of those. Then come back to the practice tests questions and see if they make sense. The primary purpose of practice tests is to help you identify your weaknesses.
At the same time, don't forget to practice a bit everyday. You don't want to get rusty in other topics while working on your weaknesses. At this time, everything needs to go on simultaneously.
Let me know the mail id with which you registered with us. I will take a look at your practice tests.
I inboxed you with my info.
