Need advice for the last week of prep

Hi ppl,

i am giving my gmat next wednesday.

what do i do for the last one week ?
give full length practice tests every alternate day?

latest CAT score GMAT prep exam pack 2 - 660 (Q49 V31) all new question without any repeats.
how accurate is it ? Can i score above 650 in the real test as well?

also i need advice on what to practice for Quant ? get exhausted with the official questions or go for harder ones ?
as i have been doing all the gmat prep questions in DS and PS all over the forum , and they seem to be easy now.
should i go for other questions or get even exhausted with the official questions itself?

Hi viper1991,

From this post, it sounds like your goal is to score 650+, so you appear to be in the right position to do so on Test Day.

With less than 1 week to go before Test Day, you should NOT be taking LOTS of CATs. If you want to take 1 more (say, this weekend), then that would be okay, but you would be better served by doing continued practice and review. NO CRAMMING. The bulk of any additional points that you might pick up are going to be found in the Verbal section, so some extra practice in those categories is probably a good idea. Mixing in some "new" material with your review would also be a good idea.

Yes all i am going to do in these last few days of prep is review and revise without any CATs.

I hope i climb up a couple of points in verbal so boost my score to above 650s.

also i want to know one more thing..i have heard that you can send your scores to 5 colleges immediately after the test.
as i am estimating a score between 630 to 670 .

which colleges do you suggest with this score range? as long as they are US top 50

what details do we have to give about the list of colleges that you have decided ?

only the university name ? or some other details?

Hi viper1991,

As part of the $250 Test fee, you have the opportunity to send your GMAT score to up to 5 Schools (but you have to do so while you're at the Testing Center). While you don't have to take advantage of this offer on Test Day, any score report that you send out later will cost you (the current price is $28 per score report per School). Since Business Schools don't care if you take the GMAT more than once, you should choose 5 Schools that you're thinking about applying to and fill them in (and save yourself the later fees).

The search tool on Test Day allows you to search by School name and/or location, so you don't have to memorize any codes. Since an MBA is such a big investment of time, money and resources, you should be choosing Schools/Programs that best fit YOUR career goals and parameters (and not just where you think you can get in). As such, I can't recommend any Schools to you - you have to decide that for yourself.

The last week before the test is a good time to cut down on studies to avoid burn out. Two to three hours a day is sufficient. The last week is a time for wrapping up everything that you've been working on, rather than learning anything new. It's a good time to review past questions again and to do light practice. For every day that you study, be sure to do a bit of both sections. For one, possibly two days before the exam don't do anything. Regain some energy and try to stay calm. You can perhaps go visit the test center. This allows you to get a feel for what the place is like and should remove a few sources of anxiety.
