Hi pallaviisinha,

Even with a late September Test Date, you would now have less than 3 months of available study time. Have you done any GMAT-centric studying yet? I ask because a 740+ score goal will likely require a BIG time commitment and we don't have a clear sense of your strengths and weaknesses yet. Any of the Official Guides from the last few years will provide a large sample of the types of questions (and concepts) that you'll see on Test Day, but you'll still need to learn the necessary tactics and put in the study time to hone your skills. Have you considered enrolling in a GMAT Course of some type?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Thanks, Rich...I am currently at the stage of revising fundamental concepts from school level maths books...My goal score is 740 and above...I would like to take GMAT in September...Can you help me with a tentative topic-wise break-up of quant section I may see on Test Day?? Thanks

Pallavi

Arithmetic trumps all!
It means special focus on number properties, ratios, percentages etc.

Then come algebra and geometry.
You get very basic co-ordinate geometry in GMAT (points, lines, slope, intersection, quadrants, distance between points, quadratic function and that's probably it). There are some other concepts that might be good to know such as distance between point and line but you can do without them. So review co-ordinate from any book that has the basics. Our geometry book covers these basics. I cover some of these topics on my blog: https://www.gmatclub.com/forum/veritas-prep-resource-links-no-longer-available-399979.html#/categor ... er-wisdom/

Few questions appear from other topics.

Hi,

Please let me know which course material/book to revise for concepts of co-ordinate geometry?

Hoping to find a positive response.

PS

Hey pallaviisinha

Here is a visual that reviews the concept of geometry coordinates: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... stion/1069
