I have completed solving the Verbal OG questions.
All though I did get most of the questions correct from the OG, I don't do well in the sectional tests for Verbal.
My percentage for Verbal ranges from 40-45%
How do I improve my score ?
I have already studied the MG-MAT material and e-gmat online material.
Which mocks should I take, what additional material can I refer ?

Hi Ankita,

To answer your question, you can look at the GMAT Pill Practice Test as additional practice: www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-test/practice-test

We have video solutions for each question available to paid members. Questions themselves are free.

Hi Rich,

1.My goal score is 680+
2.I have been studying for 4+ months now
3.I haven't written any practice CAT as yet, was just focusing on the sectionals. I will write a CAT asap and tell you about my scaled score.
4.I am planning to apply in Round 1 for B schools this year
5.Yes, I have shortlisted a few schools, most of them have their round 1 deadline by 15th Oct'15

Hi ankitachauhan,

You've come to realize that there's a big difference between performing well on random sets of Verbal questions and performing well on a FULL-LENGTH adaptive CAT.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you're looking for, I'd like to know a bit more about your studies so far and goals:

1) What is your goal score?
2) How long have you been studying?
3) How have you scored on each of your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) Do you know which Schools you plan to apply to?

Hi ankitachauhan,

The initial issue with your studies so far is that we have NO IDEA what your actual ability level is yet. As such, you should plan to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon (perhaps this weekend?). Once you have those scores, we'll have a much better idea of your strengths and weaknesses and what you should focus on during the next few weeks of your studies. You should plan to post back here once you have that CAT result.

Given your score goal and the upcoming Round 1 deadlines, you will have to do a LOT of work in a relatively short period of time. It's possible that you might have to adjust your plans (push back your Test Date and apply for Round 2).
