Hi!
I was hoping to apply for 2017 intake for MS Finance/MSFE programs in the US & UK.
I took the GMAT 2 years back and scored a 700 (Q46,V40). I would want to attempt the examination again, however, I don't need coaching from the basics - just access to practice questions online and mock tests. Which test prep company would be most helpful ? (I've already bought the Manhattan Study Material and 6 tests)
Also, which schools should I target keeping in mind my profile as below-
-- Top 1% Students in Class 12
-- Economics Undergrad from Premiere university of India (Top 5 college)
-- Top 5% in Batch ( Topper in Finance electives in final year, lower scores in first year quantitative papers)
-- 1 year consulting experience in Big4, NGO work in rural area during college, several positions of responsiblity in college
I want to shift to IBanking/Management Consulting at MBB firms.
Would really appreciate the help.

Hi swatkat,
First off, a 700 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Since you haven't named any specific Schools/Programs, you don't have a definable reason to retest. To that end, you might want to research the various Schools a bit, THEN decide whether you should put in additional study time and retest. You might also find it worthwhile to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. There's a forum full of them here:

I'll be asking for advice on that thread.
I was looking at LSE MFin and Oxford MSFE in the UK, and my quant score falls somewhere around the 68th %ile which is inadequate for MFin programs, that's why I was considering a retake. Is it justified?
