I need just 400 on GMAT

Question

Hello guys!

I need your advice on the GMAT to just get 400! that is all what I need!

what should I focus on?

I begin studying the "Quantitative Section" but I did not get everything on it! and I think I don't since I just need 400!

I have about 3 months to prepare to the test.

please provide me with your ideas?

You have not provided the most important aspect - what is your diagnostic score? Many people don't need to study more than a few weeks for 400. Good Luck!

Hi basmah,

Since your score goal is so modest, you likely won't need too much time to study for the GMAT and score at that level. It would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used so far?
3) Have you taken any practice CATs yet? How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

4) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

As bb said, you need to provide your diagnostic result. It is quite possible that all you need to do is check out the official guide. Once you understand the type of questions GMAT gives, you might hit a 400+ right away.

400 scores I think is achievable w/o any study. OG guide is too much for this score.

Hi basmah,

From your last post, it's not clear whether you took a FULL CAT (with the Essay and IR sections) or not. I suggest that you study as you see fit for the next week, then take one of the two free GMAT CATs; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can talk through your study plans. With 2-3 months of potential study time, you certainly have a great chance to achieve your score goals.
