Hi,
My recent GMAT prep MOCK score was 720 (Q 49, V 38). Though the score looks good I am little worried as my accuracy in verbal was just 65% (27 out of 41). I got 7 questions wrong in first 31 questions and 7 wrong in last 10 questions.
Is it that owing to adaptable nature of the test I got difficult questions at the end and got 7 out of last 10 wrong? Please suggest me on how to interpret the score of GMATprep MOCK CAT even though the accuracy is low. I took the test on 24th July,2016 in one sitting excluding AWA. I am palnning to take the test by end of August,2016.
My recent mock scores on other platforms were 690(Q 51, V 34; Veritas) and 710(Q 50, V 37; gmatclub tests).

This recent GMAC CAT score shows that you've made some nice progress since April (that you discussed here):

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize - it takes into account a number of different factors (far more than just the number of correct answers), so you can't really think about your performance in just those terms (the number of correct/incorrect answers). You will end up getting lots of questions wrong on Test Day; that's okay though, as long as you're not missing too many of the 'gettable' questions.
From here on, you really have to put an emphasis on taking your CATs in a realistic fashion. Skipping the Essay section created a shorter Exam that required less overall effort from you, so that score result is likely a bit inflated.

We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The best we can do is get close.

In terms of our scoring, many of our students report scores that are +/- 30 points from their actual GMAT test and so are a relatively good indicator of their performance. That said, no practice test can perfectly replicate the actual score algorithm, but this is quite close.
We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The best we can do is get close.
