Hi,
My recent GMAT prep MOCK score was
720 (Q 49, V 38). Though the score looks good I am little worried as my accuracy in verbal was just
65% (27 out of 41). I got 7 questions wrong in first 31 questions and 7 wrong in last 10 questions. Is it that owing to adaptable nature of the test I got difficult questions at the end and got 7 out of last 10 wrong? Please suggest me on how to interpret the score of GMATprep MOCK CAT even though the accuracy is low. I took the test on 24th July,2016 in one sitting excluding AWA. I am palnning to take the test by end of August,2016.
My recent mock scores on other platforms were
690(Q 51, V 34; Veritas) and
710(Q 50, V 37; gmatclub tests).
Thanks,
JP
Here is a post that you will find helpful:
https://www.gmatclub.com/forum/veritas-prep-resource-links-no-longer-available-399979.html#/2016/06 ... ems-wrong/Here are the key points it discusses in detail:
- The number of right/wrong answers is much less predictive than you think.
- Of the “ABCs” of Item Response Theory, Difficulty Level is Only One Element (B)…
- Question delivery values “content balance” more than you think.
- Some questions don’t count at all.
- Every test has a margin of error.
It will give you a clear idea of how scoring happens and why you will gain nothing by trying to game it.
Take your 700+ at face value and focus on working on the weak spots you identified.
