Do we need to take GMAT before 20 days of application deadline?

Hi ,

I am targeting indian colleges for 18-19 class.

Now , IIM A application deadline is 2nd nov.

Does that mean i need to take gmat 20 days prior to it?

As gmac takes 20 days to send score to respective colleges.

How this processes works?

In most of the colleges for submitting your application the unofficial score, that you will instantly get on the day of your exam, is sufficient.
Although GMAC mentions a TAT of 20 days for providing official scores, it usually sends it within a week. So by the time you application deadline is over, your college would have received your official score directly from GMAC.

So you mean to say.. Even if i take exam 1 or 2 day before application deadline, bschools will accept it...

No need to worry about 20 days gap,right?

As far as my research on B-school application process goes, you can definitely go ahead with the application without your official GMAT score. However, for authentic confirmation, I suggest you directly contact the admissions coordinator. They are usually very helpful and will guide you for all your queries.
