590(Q47,V25) to 640(V49,V27) how to get 740+, just one month left!

Hi GMATClub community,

I am new to the forum.

I started prep a month ago.
Followed GMATPrepNow 60 day plan.

GMATPrep1 - 590, Q47 V25, a month ago 20 Sept
GMATPrep2 - 640, Q49 V27, yesterday 22 Oct

In this one month, I followed 60-day plan.
Resources used: OG2018 used
Verbal - SC Aristotle & OG full, CR Bible & OG full, RC not much just few OG's.
in verbal I tried Manhattan SC and CR they were not so fruitful for me. I found them confusing.
Quant - GMATprepNow videos and OG full.

I need a strategy to increase Verbal from V26 to V40, I know it sounds like crazy. But, I have no other option now.

I have my GMAT on 15th November. I am targetting a score of 740+ which appears far away with a one-month achievement of merely 50 points.
I am Indian, engineer non-native in English.

Any reply will be highly appreciated.

Hey mr.adsingh ,

All you need to do is the following:

1. Determine your weak area.
2. Understand the reason for getting the questions of that area wrong.
3. Keep a track of your mistakes
4. Keep revisiting them and learn from them.
5. Use your time judiciously.
6. Do consistent and quality practice.
7. Read my debrief.

Hi mr.adsingh,

You need to focus on both Quant and verbal. One month may be a short time to improve your score drastically, however you can try. It’s a good thing you have taken a GMAT mock exam. You now know your weaknesses and can work on them. If you are willing to study dedicatedly for that period, you are sure to achieve your goal.

For verbal, I would highly encourage you to consider e-gmat verbal online or the e-gmat verbal live course. They are both amazing courses especially designed for non-natives. They offer almost 25% of their courses for free so you can try out their free trial to decide which one you want to go for. Plus the e-gmat Scholaranium which is included in both the courses is one of the best verbal practice tools in the market. You can easily track your progress in that you can identify your strengths and analyze and improve on your weak areas.

I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them.

Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

I would also encourage you to purchase GMATPREP QP1 for some great additional practice.
