First attempt 420 - Need major guidance and advice

Question

To give a background about myself, I am an engineer .. working with MNC for 5 years now... 
My day has 10 hour work schedule + 4 hours travelling + Remainder for miscellaneous . Extreme tight schedule.

Somehow I gathered courage and took up GMAT as a challenge and gave my 100% starting July . Gave few attempts scored 460, 470, 490 but less than expected.

So on 23rd Nov 2017, gave my 1st GMAT ... 
Few mistakes: 
1. I Panicked.
2. I got super anxious.
3. I got tangled in extreme emotions that I end up **** in my exam.

Only lesson learnt - DONT PANIC, DONT OVerthink ... its just an exam.

Scored V+Q = 420; AWA - 4.0 ; IR - 2.0

Now the thing is I need to buckle up ONCE AGAIN and give another attempt.

WHAT CAN I DO? PLEASE HELP ...
I am an average student and have always been one. Need to score atleast a 650 get into a descent school .

Hi,

You need to first identify where you are weak and where you are strong. Focus on learning fundamentals. You can refer to GMAT club math book and GMAT club grammar book to strengthen the fundamentals. Start learning each and every concept and review your progress regularly.
If needed, go for private tutor or online course that will suit your requirement.

Hi Nisha, Kindly do not be disheartened as GMAT is all about high commitment. It’s a good thing you have taken GMAT once. You can now know your weaknesses and work on them. If you are willing to study dedicatedly for that period, you are sure to achieve your goal. I believe you may benefit from taking a GMATPREP course as you may be a bit weak with your concepts. If you are willing, there are some great GMAT prep companies that can help you with your preparation. In order to make an informed decision I would highly encourage you to go to their websites and try on their free trial and decide for yourself which one do you like better. You try out free access to EmpowerGMAT, Magoosh and Optimus Prep as they have great reviews on GMATCLUB. Also for verbal, I would highly encourage you to consider e-gmat verbal online or the e-gmat verbal live course. They are both amazing courses especially designed for non-natives. They offer almost 25% of their courses for free so you can try out their free trial to decide which one you want to go for. Plus the e-gmat Scholaranium which is included in both the courses is one of the best verbal practice tools in the market. You can also try out the MGMAT guides they are phenomenal and cover the entire syllabus really well. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them. Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have a good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas. Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that. Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of OG and the verbal review for some great additional practice.
