I was wondering if I could get some guidance on how to study effectively for GMAT based on my questions below.
About me: I am a working professional who can put around 25 hours (2 hours on weekdays, 5-7 hours on weekends) per week so I would request for some advice based on this. I've been preparing for GMAT for over an year now but I'm nowhere close to my target score of 750 (Q50, V42). I wouldn't be applying for MBA until I can get at least a 700+ score. Here's my timeline:
Nov 2016 - Feb 2017: Started with 520 in
MGMAT CAT 1.
Manhattan Prep's In-person Course, Went through their material and homework
Mar 2017 - Jun 2017: Solved OG, Made
error log, Worked on my weakness, Did a mock every other weekend and scored between 570 and 630. Reviewed all MP strategy guides multiple times, Did some research on GMATClub's forums.
Jul 2017: Scored 580 (Q 46, V 25, IR 3) on the official test. Cancelled it!
Aug 2017 - Sept 2017: Took a break from GMAT for a family wedding
Oct 2017: Joined E-GMAT's Live Prep since I'm decent at Quant but poor at Verbal. I'm thinking of improving my verbal ability first since that's a lot of room for improvement (V26 -> V42). I'll work on Quant once I'm done with Verbal, which would mainly be practicing in order to avoid making silly mistakes.
Oct 2017 - Dec 2017: Finished E-GMAT's SC course
Question 1: I was wondering how can I improve my speed at SC. I'm able to get at least 80% of the questions right whenever I solve questions from any resource (Scholaranium, OG) taking my takt time (E-GMAT's lingo: Average time for getting a question right).
I took E-GMAT's ability quiz on Scholaranium after finishing their SC course and I got 67%. I solved each question using my takt time without worrying about not being able to finish. As shown in the attached screenshot, I got 9 out of the first 10 Qs correct and then ran out of time for the last 5 Qs. I did see an significant improvement compared to the first attempt (attached screenshot), which I took before starting the SC course, on which I scored 30% while rushing through all Qs to finish it.
I'm not sure how to continue studying or practicing in order to achieve 90% ability before moving on to CR. I have already analyzed all Qs to see how I could have done them faster.
Question 2: Should I continue doing questions taking my takt time and without rushing to finish them? I believe that doing ability tests or questions would give me more practice, hence my takt time might slightly improve. E-GMAT gives an analogy in which it compares studying for Verbal to riding a bike. You focus on learning and practicing the material first (learning how to bike) and then you automatically pick up speed with practice.
Question 3: Should I proceed with CR now without achieving 90% ability in SC and 80 seconds for takt time or practice more SC questions before moving on? E-GMAT recommends achieving your target ability score in one section (i.e SC) and only then moving on to another section (i.e. CR). I'm thinking of starting with their CR score and then continue reviewing/practicing SC every few days to maintain my skills.
I would really appreciate your suggestions

Thanks!
