Hi buddy, please don’t give up.
Many of us have been in the same boat where we have been bogged down by Verbal Gmat despite preparing our best.
and i have still not cleared this boat yet so hang in there tight and ask yourself some tough questions plus think outside the box about your prep.
1. GMAT as they say is not english language or verbal ability test, its a logical comprehension test. You can improve grammar knowledge by re-doing Verbal but logical comprehension needs practice and time.
I can say that because i was stuck between V28-30 for 2 long years when i realised this school like cramming and just finishing off the so called syllabus from OG just wont cut it.
Not that i am at V40 rightnow still struggling to go consistently beyond V35 but my friend it needs lot of dedication and practice.
2. Practise leads to my second point you don’t need to practice GMaT stuff only but you have to become A Gmat ghost whatever you read just try to apply the gmat principles looking for SC constructions, logical patterns in reasoning by the author and even trying to think assumptions and out of scope opinions... you will have to adapt your reading to that Gmat logical Quality.
3. Quality of reading - to improve our Verbal reasoning we need to read a lot and read dense stuff you can find gmat related super links on the forum eg Scientific journal, Harvard Business Review, PwC Quarterlies.
4. Following Great Verbal champs on this forum, check out Souvik, Whiplash and many more plus the great coaches here.. read twice may be thrice how they approach a question and go about it.
GMAT is a beast and it is tamed not by re-attempting whatever you have done but by methodically slicing it piece by piece like a butcher does it.
