Hello,
I recently quit my job as I was not able to give time to my GMAT preparation as i was working on most of the Saturdays too.
How much time ( in months) I should invest so that I get a good GMAT Score?
How to start my preparation?
What are the correct materials to be studied( I have the 2018 OG)?
I have also read reviews regarding not leaving the job but that has been done. How costly this can be to me during my interviews?

Hi yogeshginotra,
Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.
I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Hi,
Thank you so much for the prompt reply.
1. I will be taking the gmat after 2 to 2.5 months since I am at home and will only be focussing on the prep.
2. My ideal score would be somewhere between a 700 to 720
3. I am not sure I will be applying now. I will give the exam and gain some more corporate experience( atleast one more year)
Tomorrow I will be taking the mock test.
I wanted to know that will my decision of leaving the job result in a negative manner to the interviewer ?
