Hi Lando
Welcome to GMATClub!
I would like to apologize to you for the delay in replying to your message.
To begin with, I think you should order the ESR(of the current attempt) to understand what
the primary reason for the sudden drop in your score(especially in Quant) is. It is equally
important to understand is whether the practice tests were taken for the first time?
The reason I ask this is that a test with repeated questions can lead to inflated scores.
Also, I presume you had taken the previous test prior to the format change in the GMAT.
A Q36 score means that there are some gaps in your concepts. At GMATClub, we have an
excellent resource to help you review your concepts -
Quantitative Mega-Thread.
Once you finish this thread(which should take you about 2 weeks), take a GMATPrep
Mock(one you have not taken) before determining the next course of action. This is a
postwhich will help you with that final push in the Quant section. With a Q49 you are
looking at a 700+ score provided you are able to improve your Verbal a bit.
Another suggestion - Follow Bunuel. In the Quant forum, make it a point to solve each
and every question he puts up on the forum. Also, solve the various problem sets in his
signature. Look at the various shortcuts people use while posting their solutions. Try to
learn and adapt these methods while you solve questions.
Hope this helps you!
