I took a bunch of kaplan and 2 gmac practice test and I don't know whether I can rely on the results. In last gmac test I got 49 in quantitative while I've failed 15 questions out of 31. I already took 1 real test and got 43 quantitative, while failed only around 10. Is this possible?

Yes. It is possible. The gmat score does not depend on how many questions you got wrong but rather on how many hard questions you got right.

Yes. Unlike most tests, the GMAT doesn't give you a score based on the number of questions you get right. It's possible to miss a lot of questions and get a good score, and vice versa.

As BB already mentioned, it is possible to get 10 questions wrong and score a Q43, since your score is not solely dependent on the number of questions you get incorrect. The order in which you get correct answers matters also. The more correct answers you get in a row, the more difficult the questions the test gives you will be. If you correctly answer some relatively difficult questions, your score will be relatively high. If, on the other hand, you don't get many correct answers in a row, but rather mix correct answers with incorrect answers, you won't end up seeing relatively difficult questions, and so, even with the same number of correct answers, your score will be lower than it would be in a case in which you did see relatively difficult questions.
