So i am likely a very unique situation.
Here are my stats and my unique facts. What do you think my chances are
GPA 4.0
GMAT 680 (I have a year until i will apply and plan to try for 700+)
6 years of work experience. (3 years as a realtor and 6 years running my own retail store)
I would expect my essays and recommendations to be medium to high quality, as i have met many top level managers at various businesses in my area.
HOWEVER,
The first school i attended for undergrad dismissed me for being drunk and going into the girls bathroom messing around. I was carrying a 3.1 GPA. I was 19 at the time and being alone for the first time in my life got the worst of me. I was arrested with a misdemeanor charge and had probation.
THE GOOD (if there is any) I took a semester off after the dismissal to get things straight with myself. After that i re enrolled in another colleges program where i got my stuff together. I will be pulling that 4.0 GPA while working a full time job as well as earning the status of REALTOR.
Will colleges pass over me as soon as they see that i was dismissed in undergrad? Or will they look at what success i have had after and how i turned myself around?
