As per my experience since 2-3 weeks, I'd enrolled myself with EMPOWERgmat. Believe me there is a huge difference in my performance now. The concepts, tips and tricks etc are really awesome. All you need is logic, and tips and tricks in case of quant. I would highly recommend EMPOWERgmat to you.

Moreover, how much did you score on your Official GMATprep tests? My belief is you shouldn't rely on these private people conducting tests. Also, even if you're scoring around 500, you can't expect to get the same in your main exam! The score would fluctuate. Maybe, you'll score 50-100 points less than your mock score or at times, though rare, score more.

As I have never given a standardised test before, I had to relearn everything from the basics up! Kaplan was good for that, I got my foundation strong. Based on that every time I took the Kaplan prep test I was scoring at least a 500, comparing to my original diagnostic at 250. So I thought I was doing ok! Although I knew all along that I still lack understanding In some core quant sections. For that reason I took 15 hour private online tutoring sessions, where the tutor focused on the questions I was getting wrong. However she focused entirely on the low difficulty questions and told me not to worry about the higher difficulty questions. Which I think means getting a huge amount of questions right in order to get even a 450. Also there was no game plan, it was just do some questions and we will see on the day which questions were wrong and that was that. I didn’t feel there was enough feedback from the tutors side, for me to zero in on my weakness. It all seemed pretty wishy-washy, didn’t seem the tutor was making attempts to go away and analyse what needs to be done to get my score up.

Based on that yea it would be helpful if you know any good course providers, who are known for private tuition.

I have a reasonable confidence in the fact that Kaplan's material is sufficient to help you build concepts, teach application of concepts and improve your score. Thus, I guess the issues lie in your study method and persistence. How much time have you spent in preparing for GMAT? Also, which Kaplan products have you been using?

Anyway, if you're looking for a study material that provides proper hand-holding through the preparation, check out e-GMAT courses.

All the best. Feel free to ask anything.
