Hi SimbaJSK,

Regarding prep courses, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

Also, would you like some general advice on how to improve your verbal skills?

You also may find my it helpful to read this article about
how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi SimbaJSK,

To start, a 740 is an outstanding Score - and since you've scored 740 on the Official GMAT already, you'll be able to comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you (in the next 3-4 years when you plan to apply). Thus, a retest is almost certainly not necessary - and there's little to be gained by continuing to study. While there's no harm in doing so, the various Admissions Experts have already defined a number of non-GMAT related aspects of your application that you should work on - and your time would likely be better spent focusing on those areas than trying to squeeze out a few additional points on the GMAT.
