Hi, I have been practicing RC for 2 days now. I have noticed 1 thing, that except inference questions, answers to other questions are present in verbatim form in the passage. Is this true?
It depends on what you mean by "verbatim." There always has to be specific evidence in the passage to support the right answer to a detail question. In other words, if you're trying to answer a detail question, you should make sure you can "put your finger on" the sentence or sentences in the passage that prove that your answer choice is correct.
However, the right answer won't necessarily be a word-for-word repeat of the passage. It needs to say something that's stated in the passage, but it doesn't need to say it in the exact same words.
