Hi,

Hi,

I recently gave GMAT on the 6th of Janurary 2020 and scored 710. I have attached the result below. I think I studied well this time but messed up a little while giving the exam. On the verbal section towards the end I got 2 passages. And I was pressed on time and could not manage the time well. I had to guess a number of questions on the passages. I am not sure whether the questions I guessed on were correct. And since this was an online GMAT I will not be able to get an ESR.

And just before the test I had a number of thoughts running through my mind. That I was not well rested and hence might not be able to perform well. I did manage to get these thoughts under control but I was a bit distracted than usual. Would it help to give the GMAT in 3-4 days? I think I am done preparing content wise, also I have taken a number of mocks. It's just that I could perform well during the test. Please let me if just appearing for the test without preparing would be helpful. Please let me know your feedback.

Hey sonalchhajed2019,

I think on a good day, you can take your quant score to 50. It's just that you have to follow a few test taking strategies. Coming to verbal, I would suggest you to take a few timed quizzes so that you get used to solving questions under time pressure. You can start by taking a quiz of two RC passages with a time limit of 20 minutes. If you get a good accuracy, then reduce the time limit to 19 minutes and then to 18 minutes. And once you are done with RC, you can take a full length verbal quiz of 18 questions with 36 minutes and then you can scale it up to a quiz of 36 questions with 65 minutes.

I hope you are well versed with all the methods and the concepts by now. It's just that you need a little practice. You can go through the below recording to understand a few test taking strategies.

Hope it helped. Feel free to get in touch if you need any more help. All the best :)
