Hi Yair,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better. Based on the variations in your various Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores, it's likely that you're dealing with a mix of little mistakes (that you either make or do not make on individual Tests) and lucky/unlucky guesses (especially if you are frequently "narrowing the answers down to 2 choices" before making your final selection). Since you never hit your Score Goal during your studies, you will likely have to hone some specific Quant and Verbal skills before you will be able to consistently score at the 700+ level. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before we discuss any of those potential issues, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) Did you use any other study materials besides the course that you mentioned?
2) Did you take any other CATs/mocks besides the 4 that you listed? If you did, then on what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of those CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). Since you purchased the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you. Before you can include attachments with your posts/PMs though, you need to have at least 5 posts in the forums (right now, you have just 1 post). If you would rather not go through those extra posting steps at this point, then you can feel free to email me directly (at [email protected]).

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Yair.

Preparing for GMAT verbal can be somewhat of a slog, but by taking one step at a time, you'll get to your score goal.

Regarding the verbal portion of the TTP course, I realize that it takes a lot of work to get through it, but the thing is that it has to be comprehensive to be effective, and meanwhile, the patience and ability to focus that you need for getting through the course are closely related to the skills you need to score high on the verbal section of the GMAT.

You could share your ESR with me via the TTP in-course chat, and I could help you figure out what you could do to achieve your score goal.

Also, if you haven't already read the following posts, you could read them to develop a clearer understanding of how to prepare for verbal most effectively.
