In Verbal, my errors are made up of 50% RC questions I didn't understand and guessed incorrectly and 50% SC questions where even as I am reviewing now, I don't necessarily see why I got them wrong.

For RC, becoming familiar with how INFERENCE questions work could be helpful. For SC, cutting out the fluff to better check whether the core of a sentence grammatically holds could be useful as well. You could also check out/memorize commonly tested idioms that appears on GMAT SC.

Update to this, something curious happened - I took the first official GMAT today and ended it with a 610, but reversed scores - suddenly, my verbal was much weaker than my quant (Q42, V31). Can anyone help me understand what happened here, and how I can get to the 700 score that I need? I did focus more on quant for the past month, but don't understand how the verbal dropped so much.

All your insights are greatly appreciated!
