Hi. Sorry about that.
There are some imperfections with the paid GMAT prep test that seem to affect a certain number of people. I’m not sure why I’m seeing this more lately but the number of people have reported having wild swings in their scores as the result of gmat prep tests three, four, five and six. The reason is that the question database in those four tests, is very small and mostly consist of easier and medium level questions. Test six, is the easiest of them all. This means that if you make just a handful of mistakes, you get severely punished because you’re making mistakes on easy questions and algorithm adjusts to the overall difficulty of the test. People have reported making two or three mistakes and getting a fairly low score, surprisingly low and this is the only explanation I can see. This is unique to the tests.
Probably the easiest and fastest option would be to take unofficial test or take tests one and two again if you have not taken them multiple times. Option three would be to take the new GMAT prep that is built for Focus edition. It has a larger test bank, and you can take the quantum verbal sections which despite missing data efficiency and sentence correction, could give you another data point. You can also consider taking the test format as it becomes available November 8.
This whole exercises to figure out if this is a testing issue or if this is a different issue.
I would also go back and review your mistakes and get a sense of what is going on in terms of why you miss them. It may be an indicator of careless mistakes which can be more painful on easier questions. But you don’t need to panic or worry, you just need to establish if this was a glitchy test or perhaps indeed something happen and look and took more about that after we have established this date. I would still use your test and mistakes and do their analysis to make sure you can learn from it. There’s always something to learn no matter the situation and in bad situations, that often is the only positive so let’s extract as much positive as you can!
