Focus edition. I believe thats the only options. I would anyways prefer focus, I have heard about the horrors of sentence corrections.

Hey Yshtiwa,

Yes, it's possible! Study for the GMAT for about a week, focus on understanding the question types, and then take an official practice test.

Are you aiming for a mid-600 score on the classic or the Focus Edition?
Yshtiwa
Hey folks,

I have been studying for GRE for last 1.5 months and gave my first attempt last week. It went kinda bad (155 Quant 142 in Verbal)

I know i can easily crack the 160 in quant but verbal is absolutely brutal.

In fact the same day I gave an E GMAT Focus Practice test sleep deprived and kinda winged it (Idk the format or strats nothing)

I got a 455

79/90 in verbal
77/90 in quant
62/90 in data insights

I have till the end of the month, do you think i should make the pivot?

Also I am aiming for a mid 600 score, do you think its possible. I have the time and dedication. I just cant memorise these GRE words and Synonyms.

Please help!

Hi Yshtiwa,

First, I would take an official GMAC practice exam to get an accurate baseline score. Once you have done so, feel free to reach out with your score breakdown, and we can determine how to proceed.

You didn't mention your goal GRE score or which schools/programs you're applying to. I second the request for your baseline GMAT to offer more suggestions, but I'd also be curious to see your GRE Diagnostic Service report that will be available 15 days post exam (on your main ETS dashboard, its linked under Tests and Scores). Finally, depending on your goal schools, the EA might be an options to put a check in the "standardized test" box on your application without forcing you to break yourself in half in 4 weeks!

:)
