I had taken GMAT last week and plan to apply in Round 2.
My averages on GMAT club mocks were around 635 and in official mocks 1 and 2 I got 665 and 605. On the actual focus test I got 595. My average scores in verbal used to be between 83 and 86. However it was very bad on the actual exam which hurted my score a lot.
During the verbal section I had an issue with the markers which stopped working abruptly making it difficult to keep track on the choices I was rejecting. After like 10-12 min I gave up and decided to do the section without the using the scratch sheet given it was wasting my time.. I believe my time management got completely thrown off due to this part. I had also given GMAT focus for the first time but had scored 640 in the GMAT classic where I had Q50(86%) and V25(35%). I did read about the techniques and question patterns from the powerscore RC bible and CR techniques. In the exam I did feel overpowered by the complex wording structure of the CR and RC.
I wanted to get your opinion in case I should reattempt in hopes of improving my score since I am targeting M7. I am hoping that I get an appointment before the deadlines. I wanted to ask in case you can guide me on how I can focus on my weaknesses based on my score report. Thank you!
Attached is my score report on Quant and Verbal.
