Was it ever clarified that the duplicate account is an issue? Multiple people use two accounts, sometimes its because they've created a new ID for applications and they wnat the GMAT under that, or maybe because of huge time gap between when they registered and gave the exam

Hey everyone, I’m in a stressful situation and looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with GMAC Test Security or score cancellations.

I took the GMAT Online last week. Recently, I received an email saying my score was canceled due to "irregularities." When I log into my account, the status says **"Testing Issue"** (not a Policy or Serious Violation). I am banned from the online test for a year but cleared to test in person immediately.

After digging into it, I realized exactly what happened:

  1. I have two separate mba(dot)com accounts under two different emails.
  2. I made the first account a year ago just to look at practice questions, never used it again, and completely forgot it existed. It went dormant.
  3. I registered, paid, and took the actual exam under a different brand-new account.
On top of that, GMAC/Talview had a massive scheduling glitch with my first purchase attempt. The system accepted my payment but was unable to confirm a slot. This forced them to refund me and tell me to rebook. I rebooked for the same exact date/time and took the GMAT exam with no issues. I think this technical mess combined with the duplicate profile triggered the automated "Testing Issue" flag.

I will say, I'm not 100% certain these 2 things are the reason why my score was canceled. Their email was vague and I can only assume it's because of these 2 things. What else could it be?

I just submitted a very honest, detailed appeal explaining the dormant account and the Talview glitch.

Has anyone had their score reinstated after a "Testing Issue" cancellation caused by an accidental duplicate account? What are my actual odds here? Thanks in advance!
