As you know, the key is to show what GROWTH you have achieved since you last applied. So for example, if last year you managed ten people, this year you managed twenty. You were promoted, etc. You get the idea.
Now, here is ANOTHER thought that many people dont realize--it is perfectly fine (even preferable sometimes) to talk about a NEW career goal. Something like, "I did some soul searching, and realized that my goals last year werent clear enough" etc. We have had GREAT success with clients through the years making arguments like that. You need to show both progress, and self-reflection.
Do those two things, get your apps in Round 1, and you should be just fine this year.
