Hi all! I would like all of your inputs as to what I could be doing to make my profile better, and increase my chances of getting accepted to the top B-schools(HBS, Stanford GSB, MIT, Wharton). I am currently enrolled in my final year of my undergrad engineering program in India, and I am applying to the ISB YLP, I plan to apply to other B-schools for the fall 2014 admissions (If I haven't already missed the deadlines). I have my GMAT exam on 26th July 2013. I am hoping to get a decent score of about 700.
Undergrad GPA (Engineering in India): 3.5(till the end of 6th semester, 2 more semesters to go!)
GMAT: 700 (expected)
Internship Experience:
June'11 to August'11: AIESEC development internship to Mauritius (Women Empowerment).
June'13 to December'13: 6 months: Larsen & Toubro Pvt Ltd.
I have worked as a voluntary teacher for teaching elementary maths and english to school children under a community development program.
Received academic scholarship during my first year, and have been in the top 5 of the class.
Extras:
Film and photography
Music
Fine Arts
Horse riding
I don't really have much technical or business experience as of now. But I believe my extras could be a strong part of my profile.

I wish to apply to the HBS 2+2, and i understand that the requirements/expectations from candidates applying for the 2+2 (i.e directly after undergrad) would be different from those required if I apply for the regular full time programs after a certain work-ex period. I'd just like to know what all I could be doing to just make my profile better, for the 2+2, as well as the regular programs.

Hello there!
First of all, let me say that there are not many programs that you can apply to without any experience. HBS 2+2 and Yale Silver Scholars are the exceptions. In Europe you also have a Management degree for new graduates called a Masters in Management, which you can look into if you are interested.
Now, HBS 2+2 is a very very very tough program to get into, so even if you get a 780 on your GMAT the chances of your acceptance will be slim. You can apply, and should if you have a strong GMAT score and other things, but not with the expectation that you will be accepted. An MiM degree is an option, but it is a replacement for an MBA, and it means that you will not do an MBA later. LBS's MiM is the best one out there, and whether you prefer that or an MBA is up to you.
Otherwise, to prepare yourself for the MBA, the BEST thing you can do is to get the best job possible. If your intention is to apply to top schools, then you want to try and get into a feeder firm for those schools (McKinsey, certain govt' jobs, PE, big IB banks, etc.), and then of course do very very well in your workplace!
