I currently work at a Big 4 Advisory Practice (2years) in the Financial Services office, specializing in Information Technology Analytics
GMAT is 700+
GPA is 3.6
Major GPA- 3.94 in Management Information Systems (MIS) and 3.86 in Marketing from Drexel
I volunteer every Saturday in a soup kitchen
Involvement in Drexel-
Vice President MOOT Court
Treasurer MIS Group
Marketing Chair, Law Society
1st dan TaekwonDo Black Belt (Played for my country as well and won a bronze medal)
I am targeting the top 10 MBA schools in the US.
Please advise my likeliness to get into a MBA Program

Hey Karan,
Well your grades are excellent. with your GMAT, if I had a precise score I could also be a bit more precise, but anyhow, anything above a 700 is very laudable. Your work experience is good, but could be a bit stronger. First of all, at two years, it's a bit on the low side of things. especially since it's the experience that will give you the stories, the achievements, the advancement that Bschools are looking for. Second IT analytics might be a bit overrepresented as a pool.
And then it will depend also not just on WHAT you do, but also on HOW you do. Did you do well at work? How can you prove it? Are you advancing faster than others at your level? Do you have better achievements? All of these will play an important role in defining your chances.

I have a score of 730 on my GMAT. I am looking to work on my applications for another year, want to give it my best shot and have 3 years of experience. I got promoted in 1 year which is rare. My working involves in a nutshell the following aspects-
• Collaborate with members of the engagement team to plan engagements and develop work programs, risk assessments, and other planning documents.
• Work with audit teams to document business processes dependent on information technology
• Perform assessments of IT general controls including review of policies, processes and technical configurations for in-scope systems (e.g.: network, operating systems and databases).
• Perform data analytical procedures to support audit delivery.
• Ensure high quality in client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance.
• Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues.
• Communicate issues to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
• Apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
• Contribute to the growth of the practice and build my professional brand.
