I am Smith Shah, Male 24, India.
I am willing to apply for FALL 16 for a full time MBA program.
It would be great if you could guide me about my resume and what things should I be doing to better it before the application Deadline.
Reason for Doing MBA :- To learn business practices around the world, and to make my business more global.
Following is an overview on my resume.
Undergrad degree : Production Engineering ,Mumbai University.
Average score : 70% , ranked first in college.
My work experience includes:-
6 Months internship in Larsen & Toubro.
Project : Design, Engineering and Project Management of transportation structure of Welded Grid Plate
Assisted in Design of the equipment
Handled procurement of articles as well as vendor management
Co Ordination with the Shop Floor and Logistic Department)
1 Year Full time Work Experience in Larsen & Toubro :-
Shop Floor Manager (Managing, Planning and Execution of Manufacturing of pressure vessel equipments.
Handling Manufacturing of 3-4 Projects at a time.
Also managing auxillary service provisions to other internal customers.
Lead and Managed Unionized Labor Force of over 50 memgers)
1 and half Year and on entrepreneurship experience :-
1) Managing Partner - Desires ( Manufacturing and Wholesale of Diamond Jewelry in India)
2) Managing Partner - Diamit Exports (Export of Diamond Studded Jewelry)
3) Co- Founder - White Eros (E comm company specializing in Diamond Rings)
(Major Job:- Product Development, Market Strategy Formulation, Customer Aquisition, Deal Formation, Pricing/Costing, Account & Finance Management, Vendor and Supplier Management)
Came up with innovative product called 3D Jewelry to acquire market. Also started Export of Diamond Studded IPhones to UK
Developed Local Markets in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Mumbai.
Started working on my business plan while I was working in Larsen & Toubro.

good to hear from you!
Let me ask you a couple of questions before I get to your evaluation:
1. what do you mean "Ranked first in college"? In your department? in the whole school? 70 is not that high, and Im trying to understand what that means.
2. Can you tell me more about the three firms you are involved in? What the turnover is? what you do? how many employees you lead? And what your major achievements are?
3. Although I see plenty of extra curricular activities, I don't see much in the way of volunteer work. Is there anything I am missing here?

1) I ranked first in the production engineering department of my college, and got the Viren Raj Scholarship award from the college for the same.
2) The three companies I have been involved with,
Desires and Diamit Exports, the turnover is $250000 for the first year. I have 2 partners and we have a zero inventory zero overhead based model. Though we have around 5 employees. Our concept is to get technologically and conceptually innovative products.
For White Eros, company is in execution phase, project started 4 months back.
My major work in the company is product development and client acquisition.
Major aim of the company is to create a market for its product all over India among jewelry retailers.
